What You’ll Be Doing

As a Service Consultant at Capitec Bank, your main goal will be to enhance our customers’ lives by providing world-class customer service. You’ll do this by:

  • Using our Global One product offering to help our customers bank better and live better.
  • Fulfilling and exceeding customer needs, ensuring they have an amazing experience with us.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Minimum Experience

  • 3 to 6 months of previous client service experience in a retail, financial, or banking environment.
  • Alternatively, a candidate with a relevant tertiary qualification can be considered.

Ideal Experience

  • More than 1 year of client service experience in a retail, financial, or banking environment.
  • A proven track record of engaging in sales and customer-facing environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational

Ideal or Preferred Qualifications

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Commerce or a similar field.
  • Certification in Finance or Banking.

Knowledge

  • Minimum:
    • Basic calculations
    • Retail/consumer service environment
  • Ideal:
    • Capitec Bank Products
    • Internal business processes and procedures
    • Organisational Policies, including (but not limited to) the Branch Credit Granting Policy principles (BCGP)

Skills

  • Communications Skills
  • Interpersonal & Relationship management Skills
  • Computer Literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)

Conditions of Employment

  • Clear criminal and credit record
  • Must have fingerprints which are detectable/recognisable on Capitec Bank’s internal electronic banking system
