What You Will Be Doing
As a platform engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining resilient, scalable, cost-effective, and high-performing cloud solutions using AWS and infrastructure as code (IaC) skills. You will work closely with the development and operations teams to ensure that our cloud infrastructure is highly available, secure, and scalable. Your primary focus will be on building and supporting infrastructure for microservices-based architectures, implementing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the overall efficiency of our cloud platform.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum requirements:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology
- Experience in Agile/DevOps environments and CI/CD tools
- Development and support infrastructure for microservices-based architectures
- 3-5 years of experience in Infrastructure, Software Development, DevOps or Security
- 3-5 years of experience in designing and implementing highly available, enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure
- 2+ years of experience in AWS, Engineering or Infrastructure
- 2+ years of experience managing a CI system (Jenkins, Gitlab CI, Automic)
- Experience with scripting and provisioning tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation)
- Experience in Cloud Security technologies and best practices
- Understanding of networking in Cloud environments
Our Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a motivated and experienced candidate who has:
- Strong design and troubleshooting skills on AWS (Azure or GCP is a plus)
- Knowledge of authentication and authorization technologies (LDAP, Kerberos, AD, OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML)
- Experience in developing and supporting infrastructure for microservices-based architectures
- Experience in designing and implementing highly available, enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure
- Understanding of Cloud Security technologies and best practices
- Understanding of networking in Cloud environments
