About the Role
We’re on the lookout for energetic, self-motivated individuals who share our passion for service in the banking industry. As an Investigator – Syndicate Intelligence West, you’ll be part of a dynamic team that investigates Application Fraud cases and performs relevant write-offs. If you’re passionate about uncovering new ways to combat fraud and have a keen eye for detail, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
What We’re Looking For
To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
- At least 2 years’ forensics experience within a financial/banking environment
- Experience in the use of investigation tools (e.g. Facebook, Google earth, Compuscan, ITC)
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A clear criminal and credit record
Ideal Qualifications and Experience
- Background within SAPS or a forensic environment
- A relevant qualification in Forensics
- A relevant degree in Finance
- Knowledge of Capitec bank systems (i.e. BANCS, Postilion, Taskspace/Documentum)
- Knowledge of relevant Capitec Bank policies (e.g. Credit Policy)
Key Responsibilities
As an Investigator – Syndicate Intelligence West, you’ll be responsible for:
- Investigating Application Fraud cases and performing relevant write-offs
- Identifying prevalent and new modus operandi relating to Application Fraud and communicating this to relevant stakeholders
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to develop and implement effective fraud prevention strategies
- Providing expert advice on fraud-related matters to internal stakeholders
