About the Role
We’re on the lookout for energetic, self-motivated individuals who share our passion for service in the banking industry. As a Team Leader Insurance Claims West, you will play a crucial role in managing and leading a team to deliver exceptional client experiences while adhering to set policies, regulatory requirements, and operational processes.
Responsibilities
- Manage and lead a team to optimize delivery on set organizational, departmental, and operational objectives
- Ensure an exceptional client experience is achieved
- Implement, follow, and adhere to all set policies, regulatory requirements, and operational processes
- Represent the bank as a Representative (REP) appointed by the bank
Requirements
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a banking, retail, finance, or client service environment in a leadership role
- Ideal: Credit Life and Funeral Insurance experience (role-specific)
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational
- Ideal or Preferred: Relevant tertiary qualification
- General Microsoft Office systems
- Leadership Principles
- Client Service
- Credit Life and Funeral Cover Insurance claims (including retrenchment, unemployment, temporary loss of income, death, and permanent or temporary disability)
- Funeral cover assistance (gathering documents and communication with clients relating to their claim status)
- Capitec Bank policies (disciplinary code and procedures, KPA procedures and policies, adherence policies, client relationship principles and environment, and more)
- Working knowledge of Capitec Bank’s integrated systems, structure, and infrastructure
- Communication skills
- Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook)
- Attention to detail
- Numerical reasoning skills
- Negotiation skills
