Job Purpose:
As a Level II Software Engineer, you’ll play a vital role in a cross-functional team dedicated to the full software development lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include designing, developing, testing, deploying, maintaining, and enhancing software systems and applications based on specifications. You’ll work closely with the delivery team to translate business or technical analyst requirements into actionable solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software systems and applications based on specifications
- Translate business or technical analyst requirements into actionable solutions
- Participate in design and problem-solving with the delivery team
- Apply advanced knowledge of IT systems development processes, application development, programming concepts, algorithms, and data structures
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, cloud computing platforms, and services
- Deploy applications using kubernetes and containerization
Requirements:
- Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational (Minimum)
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology (Ideal or Preferred)
- 3+ years’ proven experience in both front- and back-end software development, project delivery, and implementation
- Advanced knowledge of IT systems development processes, application development, programming concepts, algorithms, and data structures
- Experience with modern front-end and back-end frameworks and technologies
- Strong analytical, attention to detail, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
