Job Summary:
As a Software Development Manager at Capitec Bank, you will be responsible for providing strategic technical direction and managing multiple technical teams responsible for the technical delivery of the full product lifecycle. Requirements:
To be considered for this role, you will need to have the following qualifications and experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or Information Technology or Computer Science
- At least 5 years’ experience in software development management
- Experience with leading and working in an agile development environment
- Crafting roadmaps and managing a budget
- Using technical skills to support and guide a technical team
- Establishing priorities and successfully managing deliverables
- Utilizing communication and relationship management skills to engage with stakeholders
- Using leadership to influence in other areas
Knowledge:
In addition to the above requirements, you will need to have the following knowledge:
- Functional knowledge particular to the product (Save)
- People management and development practices and principles
- Stakeholder management
- Budgeting and accounting principles
- Business analysis and design
- Project Management principles and methodologies
- AWS knowledge
- Engineering Best practices related to Event Based Architecture

It would be advantageous if you have the following knowledge and experience:
- Banking industry
- Capitec Bank Systems Environment
- Capitec Bank Business Model
- Agile development principles
- Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
