Role Overview:

The Creative Director (CD) will be responsible for leading Capitec’s creative and design strategy, including:

• Overseeing the creative direction of the brand, marketing campaigns, and digital initiatives
• Developing and implementing a comprehensive creative strategy that aligns with the company’s goals and objectives
• Working closely with the Head of Brand and Communications and partner with the management team to ensure seamless execution of creative projects
• Leading a team of designers, copywriters, and artists to create engaging and innovative campaigns and experiences
• Staying up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to ensure Capitec remains at the forefront of creative and design excellence

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute a comprehensive creative strategy that aligns with Capitec’s goals and objectives
• Lead a team of designers, copywriters, and artists to create engaging and innovative campaigns and experiences
• Collaborate with the Head of Brand and Communications and management team to ensure seamless execution of creative projects
• Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market, industry trends, and customer needs to inform creative decisions
• Manage budgets and resources to ensure effective use of creative assets
• Foster a culture of creativity and innovation within the team and across the company
• Develop and maintain relationships with external vendors and partners to ensure access to the latest creative technologies and expertise

Requirements:

• A degree in a relevant field (e.g. design, marketing, communications)
• At least 5 years of experience in a creative leadership role, preferably in the financial services industry
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful creative campaigns and experiences
• Strong understanding of brand strategy, marketing, and communications principles
• Excellent leadership and project management skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to think creatively and outside the box
