As an Accounts Payable Clerk at Capitec Bank, you will be responsible for processing and reconciling accounts payable, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring accurate and timely payment of invoices. Key Responsibilities:

• Process and reconcile accounts payable, including vendor statements and invoices
• Manage vendor relationships and resolve any queries or issues that may arise
• Conduct general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records
• Handle telephonic queries and provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders
• Collaborate with the purchasing team to ensure efficient and effective procurement processes
• Analyze and resolve discrepancies in accounts payable and vendor statements

Requirements:

• 2-3 years’ experience in accounting or reconciliation role, such as bookkeeping, accounts receivable/payable
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
• Experience with general ledger reconciliation and accounts payable processes
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle telephonic queries and resolve issues
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

• Has experience with purchasing cycle and creditor reconciliations
• Has a strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Is able to work independently and as part of a team to achieve goals and objectives
• Has a strong understanding of financial systems and processes
