Amaro Foods, a division of Libstar, invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Human Capital Administrator (Fixed‑Term Contract) vacancy. The closing date for applications is 13 October 2026.
Amaro Foods is looking for a bright, organised person to join the HR team at the company’s central office in Epping Industrial, Cape Town. This is a starter role that gives you a solid look at how a fast‑moving consumer‑goods (FMCG) business handles its people. If you have a qualification in Human Resources or a related field and want real‑world practice, this job could be exactly what you need.
What you will do every day
- Scan, save and file employee paperwork using the M‑Files system.
- Keep both digital and paper employee files up to date and neat.
- Write basic HR letters and track the movement of staff through the company.
- Update the employee database and help put together the monthly HR reports.
- Check allowances and assist the payroll team with the numbers to make sure everyone gets paid correctly.
- Look at CVs, set up interview times and help prepare interview guides for recruiters.
- Draft employment contracts and put together welcome packs for new hires.
- Organise induction days so newcomers know the rules, the culture and the safety procedures.
- Book medical checks for staff when they are needed.
- Schedule training sessions, record who attended and keep the training register current.
- Design simple posters for internal communications and upcoming training events.
- Support fun and healthy employee‑engagement activities, such as wellness challenges or team‑building games.
- Collect data on engagement and training for reporting to senior HR leaders.
- Live the Amaro Foods brand by showing the company’s core values in all your work.
What you need to bring
- A diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or a similar subject.
- A keen eye for detail – you’ll be handling a lot of important information.
- Good organisational habits and the ability to juggle several tasks at once.
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
- Clear communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Friendly, respectful attitude when dealing with employees, candidates and colleagues.
- A strong desire to learn more about HR and grow in a professional setting.
- Past exposure to HR work – an internship or part‑time job – is a plus but not a must.
- A reliable, enthusiastic approach to handling HR paperwork and processes.
