Why This Job Could Be Right for You

If you love sporty shoes, cool clothes, and helping people find what they need, this role at adidas’s Meadowdale store in Gauteng might be a great fit. It’s a permanent part‑time position, which means you’ll work regular hours but still have time for school, hobbies, or another job. You’ll get hands‑on experience with a world‑famous sportswear brand and learn the basics of retail, sales and customer care.

What You’ll Do Every Day

  • Greet every shopper with a friendly smile and ask how you can help.
  • Listen to what customers want and suggest the right adidas products – from running shoes to training gear.
  • Scan items, handle cash, credit cards and mobile payments accurately at the checkout.
  • Check deliveries against the paperwork, then move stock from the backroom to the sales floor.
  • Keep the shelves and displays looking neat, organized and attractive.
  • Use the point‑of‑sale (POS) system to record sales and follow adidas’s safety procedures.
  • Try out simple selling tricks, such as recommending a matching t‑shirt when a customer buys shorts (upselling) or showing a pair of socks that match the shoes they’ve chosen (cross‑selling).
  • Keep the store clean – sweep floors, wipe counters and tidy fitting rooms.
  • Watch for anything out of place and report suspicious activity to protect store merchandise.
  • Take part in in‑store and online training sessions so you know the latest product features and trends.
  • Look at basic performance reports (Power BI) to see which items sell best and why.
