The National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) Invites Qualified Students to Apply for Its External Bursary Programme 2027
The deadline for submitting applications is 30 September 2026.
What Is the NDMC External Bursary Programme?
The NDMC, working with the Department of Cooperative Governance, offers a full‑time scholarship for the 2027 academic year. The award covers tuition for:
- An Undergraduate or Post‑Graduate Diploma in Disaster Management, Fire Technology, or Fire Engineering.
- An Advanced Diploma in the same fields.
- A Master’s degree (full programme) in Disaster Management or Fire Engineering.
Certificates and PhD programmes are not covered by this bursary.
Who Can Apply?
You must be a South African student who:
- Holds a valid South African ID.
- Has already been accepted, registered, or is about to start a qualifying course at a recognized public university or TVET college in South Africa.
- Meets the academic grade requirements (see below).
