Clicks Group is looking for 10 enthusiastic people to join the team at the Malekane Mall store in Limpopo. This is a full‑time, permanent role in a busy health‑and‑beauty shop. If you enjoy talking to people, helping them find the right products, and are ready to start a retail career, this job could be the perfect first step.
What you will do every day
As a Shop Assistant / Cashier you will be the friendly face that greets shoppers. Your main duties will include:
- Running the checkout: Scan items quickly, make sure the prices are right, and take payment safely.
- Handling cash and cards: Count cash accurately, give correct change, and process card payments without mistakes.
- Using the Clicks ClubCard: Apply rewards points, sign up new members, and explain the benefits of the loyalty program.
- Sharing promotions: Tell customers about current offers, special discounts, and how they can save more.
- Keeping the store tidy: Arrange shelves, fill empty spots, and make sure the shop looks clean and inviting.
- Helping with stock: Put new items on the floor, check that everything is in the right place, and let the manager know if anything is missing.
- Answering questions: Know the basics about skin‑care, hair‑care, and other health products so you can guide shoppers to the right choice.
- Being a brand ambassador: Show the Clicks values by being polite, helpful, and enthusiastic at all times.
These tasks help the store run smoothly and make sure every customer leaves happy.
Skills and qualities we are looking for
You don’t need years of experience, but you should show that you can:
- Do simple math quickly – adding up prices and giving correct change.
- Talk clearly in English and listen carefully to what customers need.
- Work well with other team members and follow instructions from the supervisor.
- Stay organized, especially during busy periods when many people are checking out at once.
- Solve small problems – for example, if an item doesn’t scan, you can find another way to complete the sale.
- Use a computer for the cash register and for checking product information.
- Keep a positive attitude, even when the shop gets busy or when a customer is upset.
Having completed at least 50 % of Mathematics and 50 % of English in Grade 12 is a plus. Any retail or business course, or past work in a shop or fast‑moving‑consumer‑goods (FMCG) environment, will also help your application.
