Hollywood Foundation invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Future is Bright Bursary Programme 2027. The closing date for applications is 3 September 2026. If you want financial help to study at university or college, keep reading – this may be exactly what you need.
What the Bursary Programme Is About
Through the My Education pillar, the Hollywood Foundation does more than hand out money. It builds a path for students who want to move from high school to a successful career. The bursary covers tuition, registration, books and, where needed, accommodation. In addition, the programme offers workshops, mentorship and real‑world projects so you can graduate ready for work.
What You Must Submit
- Most recent school or university results
- Proof of where you live (utility bill, lease, etc.)
- A certified copy of your South African ID (must be certified in the past six months)
- Evidence of a university application or an acceptance letter from the institution you plan to attend
- A short motivation letter – explain the course you want to study and why you need the bursary
Who Can Apply
- Grade 12 learners with an overall average of at least 65 %
- Current tertiary students with an overall average of at least 60 %
- South African citizens only
- The chosen qualification must run for a minimum of 12 months
- The institution must be registered with the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET)
