- Talk to coworkers and external contacts in a polite and professional way.
- Follow Eskom’s policies, safety standards and confidentiality rules at all times.
- Pitch in wherever the team needs extra help, always aiming to meet deadlines.
Who should apply
- South African citizen, aged 18‑34.
- Completed Grade 12 (or an equivalent qualification).
- A post‑matric certificate or short course is a plus, but not mandatory.
- No permanent full‑time job held for more than one continuous year.
- Not enrolled in full‑time study during the 12‑month contract.
- Never taken part in the Eskom YES programme before.
- Willing to learn new workplace skills and take on responsibility.
- Good at communicating, both spoken and written.
- Able to work alone when needed and also as part of a team.
- Professional attitude, strong work ethic and respect for confidential information.
What you’ll gain
- 12 months of hands‑on experience with one of South Africa’s biggest power generators.
- Practical administrative and office‑management skills that look great on any résumé.
- Direct mentorship from experienced engineers and office managers.
- A chance to network within the energy industry, opening doors for future jobs.
