Rand Water Invites qualified candidates to apply for its Public Service Administrator Learnership (NQF Level 5). The closing date for applications is 11 June 2026.
Who can apply?
You can only apply if you meet all of the points below. If you miss even one, your application will be rejected.
- No current job – you must be unemployed at the time of applying.
- No other study – you cannot be registered for any diploma, degree, or other learnership.
- No post‑school qualification – you must not already hold a certificate after Matric. (If you hide a qualification, you will be disqualified.)
- Matric required – you need a Grade 12 certificate with one of the following subject combos:
- Mathematics (level 4 or higher) or Maths Literacy (level 5 or higher) plus Physical Science (level 4 or higher)
- Mathematics (level 4 or higher) or Maths Literacy (level 5 or higher) plus Business Studies (level 4 or higher)
- Verification report – you must attach a SAQA/NLRD verification report. You can get this from the SAQA website under “SAQA Verifications Service → Extract from the NLRD”.
- South African citizen – you need a valid South African ID.
- Age range – you must be between 18 and 35 years old (as stated in the NSDS III).

- SAQA/NLRD verification report
- Your updated CV
What you will do (Primary Duties)
- Keep the office filing system tidy and up‑to‑date.
- Write and format reports, letters, and official documents.
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail.
- Talk to the public, clients, and coworkers in a polite and professional way.
- Answer questions, handle complaints, and give information when asked.
- Deliver good customer service every day.
- Help organise meetings and set up schedules.
- Take minutes during meetings and share them afterwards.
- Follow the progress of departmental projects and programmes.
- Make sure all work follows public‑service rules and policies.
- Stick to government regulations and ethical standards.
- Show honesty and take responsibility for every task.
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and other office software.
- Enter data correctly and keep electronic records safe.
- Create simple presentations and spreadsheets when needed.
