- To be part of a team that’s dedicated to delivering excellent service and ensuring the bank’s credit portfolio is optimized for growth and profit.
- To work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with credit risk parameters and risk appetite schedules.
- To develop and implement effective credit management strategies that drive results.
Responsibilities:
- Diversify the risk of loss through effective credit portfolio management and reporting.
- Interact with other areas of the bank to ensure compliance with agreed risk parameters.
- Develop and implement credit management strategies that optimize profits and minimize risk.
Requirements:
Minimum:
- At least 8 years of relevant credit risk management experience in a bank, including:
- 5 years in general credit management
- 3 years in accounting
- Strong stakeholder management skills to guide and influence credit risk
- Honours Degree in Accounting – Financial Accounting or Accounting – Management Accounting
Ideal:
- Credit risk appetite formulation and credit portfolio management experience for a lending portfolio in a bank.
- Contribution to credit management strategy and policy development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
Key Skills:
- Analytical skills to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
- Commercial thinking skills to drive business growth and profitability.
- Excellent computer literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, and MS Outlook.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.
