To qualify, you’ll need the following:

1. Education: A Grade 10 certificate and a completed Basic Security Course.

👮‍♂️ Job Responsibilities

As a Security Guard, your primary role is to ensure the safety and security of learners, staff, and school property. Here’s what you’ll be doing:

1. Access Control:

• Monitor and identify employees, learners, and visitors.
• Issue and collect admission control cards for visitors.
• Check supplies and objects before granting access to visitors.
• Maintain and update the visitors’ register.

2. Patrol and Security:

• Patrol school grounds, buildings, and fenced areas to prevent unauthorized access or vandalism.
• Escort visitors on school premises when required.
• Ensure the safety of facilities, vehicles, staff, and learners.

3. School Safety Policy:

• Assist in implementing the school’s safety procedures.
• Report breakages, theft, or damages to the School Management Team (SMT).

4. Interaction with Learners:

• Use basic communication skills to engage positively with learners.
• Promote and uphold the rights of children while supporting them emotionally.
