Unilever invites suitably qualified applicants to apply for their Automated Packaging Learnership Program 2026 vacancies. The closing date for applications is December 15, 2025.

Why This Program Is Awesome

Unilever’s Automated Packaging Learnership is a chance for young South Africans who are not working yet to get a real job apprenticeship in a busy factory. The training happens at the Anderbolt Factory in Boksburg. You’ll learn how to run machines that package products automatically and keep the factory safe and clean.

What You’ll Do

  • Run the Line: Work on the packaging line, following the schedule and keeping the team on track.
  • Keep Things Clean: Sweep, mop and polish machines to make sure they’re safe to use.
  • Check the Product: Look at each box or bottle that comes off the line. If something looks wrong, tell someone right away.
  • Fix Problems: Spot when a machine isn’t doing its job and help fix it before it causes a bigger issue.
  • Prepare Materials: Make sure the raw ingredients or goods are ready for the machines to use.
  • Stay Safe: Always wear the right protective gear and help others do the same.
  • Go Green: Help the factory save energy and waste.
  • Follow Learnership Rules: Finish all your reports, assignments, and checks to prove you’re learning.

What You Need

  • A National Senior Certificate (Matric) with a pass in Mathematics and Science – or
  • A Level 2, 3 or 4 Engineering qualification.

What We Look for in You

  • Hard Work: You finish what you start and take pride in doing a good job.
  • Focus: You know what matters most and give your best in those areas.
  • Future‑Thinker: You’re always looking ahead, spotting problems before they happen, and caring about how your work helps the customer and the company.
