Customer Services Clerk Positions

We have several openings for Customer Services Clerks across various provinces in South Africa. These positions are available in Gauteng, Western Cape, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North-West, Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and Free State. Here’s what you need to know about the job and how to apply.

Job Overview:

As a Customer Services Clerk, you will be responsible for verifying and issuing bank cards to customers. This role requires strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Check equipment to make sure it works properly and report any issues to the Team Leader.
  • Keep track of all card stock and ensure its safekeeping.
  • Issue cards to customers after verification and update information on the system.
  • Record every card issued and update statistics on the number of cards issued and customers assisted.
  • Handle queries related to lost cards, pin resets, and damaged cards.
  • Return unused cards at the end of the day and ensure they are recorded and stored safely.
  • Report any system issues to the Team Leader or contact center for resolution.
  • Send daily reports and statistics to the Team Leader as required.
  • Assist the Team Leader in managing queues and ensuring quick service for elderly, disabled, and sick customers.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
  • A post-matric qualification (Diploma/Degree, NQF 5, 6, or 7) with a minimum of 120 credits.
  • Additional qualifications like an NQF6 National Diploma or degree are a plus.
  • Experience in customer service roles such as a Customer Services Consultant or Cashier is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Team Lead Customer Services Positions

We are also hiring for the Team Lead Customer Services role. This position involves overseeing the customer service clerks and ensuring smooth operations at distribution sites. Here’s a summary of the job and how to apply.

Job Overview:

As a Team Lead Customer Services, you will report to the Regional Operations Manager. Your role involves managing customer service clerks, ensuring equipment functionality, and handling customer complaints.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Check equipment functionality and report issues to the Regional Operations Managers.
  • Ensure all distribution sites have the necessary services, materials, and equipment.
  • Make sure staff follow SOPs and manage daily staffing needs.
  • Address issues raised by staff and escalate unresolved issues to Regional Operations Managers.
  • Oversee attendance registers and submit weekly time sheets.
  • Report system issues and send daily reports to Regional Operations Managers.
  • Manage queues and customer complaints at distribution sites.
  • Occasionally issue cards to customers if clerks are absent.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4).
  • A post-matric qualification (Diploma/Degree, NQF 5, 6, or 7) with a minimum of 120 credits.
  • Additional qualifications like an NQF6 National Diploma or degree are a plus.
  • Experience as a Teller, Cashier, or in customer service roles.
  • Supervisor or Team Lead experience is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Valid Code 08 or Code 10 Driver’s License and own car are essential.
