About the Job
Summary
As a Customer Relations Officer at MAKRO, your main goal will be to drive profitable volume growth for our commercial department. You will achieve this by selling our full basket of products across all divisions to meet set budgets. Customer service excellence is at the heart of this role, with a focus on servicing our existing customers and actively recruiting new ones if the CRO base is not filled.
Functions and Responsibilities
- Achieving Sales Budgets and Margin Budgets: You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets and margin goals.
- Customer Service Excellence: Deliver top-notch customer service consistently.
- KPI and Measurements: Excel in delivering on Key Performance Indicators and other measurements.
- Teamwork and Self-Management: Work collaboratively with your team and manage your own tasks effectively.
- Procedures and Administration: Execute administrative duties and follow company procedures meticulously.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, you need to meet the following qualifications and experience:
- Academic and Professional Qualifications:
- Diploma in Sales or Marketing, or
- Matric with 5-6 years of sales experience.
- Alternatively, 2-3 years of sales experience with a Diploma.
- Competencies and Skills:
- Excellent selling skills and customer service orientation.
- Strong communication and administrative skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and control tasks efficiently.
- Computer literacy in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Knowledge of store processes and SAP systems (SAP-Retail, SAP-BW, and Back Office).
- Advanced sales and external sales experience.
- Ability to manage and motivate staff.
- Financial aptitude and trustworthiness in handling company finances and stock.
- A valid Code 08 driver’s license for a manual car.
