What Does the Role Involve?
As a Store Assistant in the Maintenance Department, your responsibilities will include:
- Stock Management: Issue, monitor, and maintain stock levels while keeping accurate records.
- Job Card Creation: Assist in creating job cards for maintenance tasks.
- Stock Taking: Participate in monthly stock counts to ensure accurate inventory.
- Storeroom Organization: Keep the storeroom orderly, clean, and functional.
- Tool and Spare Knowledge: Use your understanding of maintenance spares and tools to assist the team effectively.
- Workshop Support: Lend a helping hand inside and outside the workshop as needed.
- Follow Instructions: Carry out tasks as directed by the Stock Controller.
- General Duties: Uphold safety and cleanliness standards, and be willing to work overtime when necessary.
What We’re Looking For
To succeed in this role, you’ll need:
Minimum Requirements:
- A Grade 12 certificate.
- Knowledge of maintenance spares and tools.
- Previous storeroom experience (advantageous).
- A valid forklift license (advantageous).
- Computer literacy for accurate record-keeping.

- Ability to work under pressure and without supervision.
