What Does the Role Involve?

As a Store Assistant in the Maintenance Department, your responsibilities will include:

  • Stock Management: Issue, monitor, and maintain stock levels while keeping accurate records.
  • Job Card Creation: Assist in creating job cards for maintenance tasks.
  • Stock Taking: Participate in monthly stock counts to ensure accurate inventory.
  • Storeroom Organization: Keep the storeroom orderly, clean, and functional.
  • Tool and Spare Knowledge: Use your understanding of maintenance spares and tools to assist the team effectively.
  • Workshop Support: Lend a helping hand inside and outside the workshop as needed.
  • Follow Instructions: Carry out tasks as directed by the Stock Controller.
  • General Duties: Uphold safety and cleanliness standards, and be willing to work overtime when necessary.

What We’re Looking For

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

Minimum Requirements:

  • A Grade 12 certificate.
  • Knowledge of maintenance spares and tools.
  • Previous storeroom experience (advantageous).
  • A valid forklift license (advantageous).
  • Computer literacy for accurate record-keeping.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and without supervision.
  • Hardworking, honest, and self-motivated.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with team members.
