Dis‑Chem Pharmacies is looking for a Merchandiser to join the team at our Vaal Mall store. This is a permanent role where you’ll keep the shelves looking great, make sure we never run out of stock, and help customers find what they need.

What You’ll Do
- Restock shelves so the whole shop is always full.
- Put delivered goods in their right places quickly and safely.
- Watch the dates on products, rotate stock the old‑first‑in, first‑out way, and keep expiry dates in check.
- Tell management when items are running low, out of stock, broken, or expired.
- Join in counting stock, doing regular checks, and keeping an accurate record.
- Follow the layout plans (planograms) and merchandising guidelines so products look organised.
- Keep the front‑shop display tidy, with correct labels and prices that customers can read.
- Build and maintain product displays, face up new items, and roll out merchandising ideas.
- Handle goods carefully to avoid loss or damage.
- Help with loading, unloading, back‑shopping, and teach new teammates.
- Provide friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable service to shoppers.
- Resolve any customer questions about availability or missing items.
- Always wear the uniform, follow standard operating procedures (SOPs), company policies, and health‑safety rules.
Minimum Requirements
- Completed Grade 12 / Matric.
- Up to six months of retail experience is enough.
- Comfortable using a computer and Microsoft Office.
- Willing to work the hours that a retail store needs (including evenings, weekends, and days off).
Nice to Have
- At least one year of retail work.
- Ability to speak more than one language.
- Awareness of merchandising principles and the fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) market.
- Knowledge of products and categories.
- Ability to read and analyse ZMORE reports to help stock decisions.
