Why This Job is Great for You
If you’re looking for an easy entry into retail, this part‑time role is perfect.
You’ll learn the basics of shop stocking, customer service, and sales support while earning money. The position is based at the Mall of Tembisa, so you’ll work in a lively, busy setting that’s easy to reach from many parts of the city.
What You’ll Do Every Day
- Keep shelves stocked and tidy – put the right items in the right places and make sure nothing is out of date.
- Help customers – give friendly advice, answer questions, and don’t let anyone leave the store hungry for what they need.
- Manage deliveries – bring in fresh stock from the warehouse, break down boxes, and put items on the floor on time.
- Check stock levels – flag when items are low or missing so the team can order more quickly.
- Follow the store plan – use the store’s layout map so products are always where shoppers expect them.
- Keep the store clean – organise your back-room and the shop floor so the place looks great to visitors.
- Support new staff – show them how to do tasks and answer their questions, helping them get comfortable fast.
- Wear your uniform and badge – look professional and trustworthy at all times.
All these tasks help the store sell more products every day, and you’ll become an essential part of the team.
What We’re Looking For
- Academic level – Grade 12 (matric) or equivalent.
- Retail experience – up to six months is fine; longer experience is a plus.
- Computer basics – know how to use a computer and Microsoft Office.
- Flexible hours – the job can run during evenings and weekends; you need to be ready to help when shop traffic peaks.
Extra Skills That Help
- A full year of retail work.
- Knowing English well, and if you can speak another language, that’s a bonus.
- Understanding how to organise shelves and keep track of inventory.
- Reading and acting on stock reports or alerts about potential sales opportunities.
Key Points for Your Success
- Strong communication – talk nicely to customers, managers, and teammates.
- Dependable appearance – dress neatly in your uniform and stay clean.
- Honesty – we trust you with cash and valuable items, so integrity matters.
- Time management – finish tasks on schedule so the store runs smoothly.
The Team Thing
- Work with a supportive group – you’ll have good managers and peers who want to see you succeed.
- Safe and clean environment – we follow strict health and safety rules to keep everyone safe.
- Equal chances – whether you’re from a small town or the city, we welcome capable applicants.
Salary and Perks
- A market‑competitive hourly wage (you’ll earn money while you learn).
- Flexible hours that work around school or family life.
- Training and growth inside the company – you could move up to full‑time roles later.
