Brights Hardware needs a reliable person to work full‑time in the Drive‑Thru Yard at the Blackheath store. Main duties
- Load customer vehicles – Put bought items carefully into the buyer’s car or van.
- Load delivery trucks – Follow the order list and load items for home deliveries.
- Load transfer trucks – Move stock to other Brights branches or storage sites.
- Stack and arrange stock – Keep pallets neat, count boxes, and check that numbers match the system.
- Prepare stock for transfers – Gather the right products for each internal move.
- Report missing items – Tell a supervisor right away if something is short.
- Report damaged goods – Flag broken pieces so they can be replaced or disposed of.
- Bag sand and stone – Fill bags according to customer orders and store rules.
- Help customers – Answer simple questions, point out where items are, and give basic product tips.
- Take part in regular stock‑takes – Count inventory to keep records correct.
- Keep the yard clean – Sweep, remove rubbish, and organize tools and pallets.
- Work safely – Use the right lifting technique, watch for hazards, and wear required safety gear.
- Support the team – Cooperate with coworkers, supervisors and store staff to finish tasks on time.
- Do extra tasks – Follow any additional instructions from your manager.
What you need to bring
- Matric or equivalent – A high‑school completion certificate is required.
- At least 1 year of similar work – Experience in a yard, warehouse, or retail stock role is a plus but not mandatory.
