CIPC, a department under the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition, wants to help young South Africans start their careers. The internship lasts 24 months and is based at the Sunnyside office in Pretoria. It gives fresh graduates a chance to learn on the job while they finish their studies.

Who Can Apply?

  • South African graduates who are currently unemployed and have a degree or diploma.
  • Graduates who have not yet worked in the field they studied.
  • People who have never taken part in an internship before.
  • Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.

What You Need to Have

  • A bachelor’s degree in Media Studies, Communication, Journalism, or Public Relations.

If your qualification was earned outside South Africa, you must have it checked by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) before you start.

What You’ll Earn

  • A monthly stipend of R12 000 for the whole 24‑month period.

What to Submit

  1. An up‑to‑date CV.
  2. A clear copy of your identification document.

  • CIPC will check your South African citizenship and qualification status.
  • You must be ready for an interview on the date, time and place chosen by CIPC.
